*KETA NURSES AND MIDWIFERY COLLEGE( KNMC) IN CRISIS*

[TEYIE SELASSIE]

The fate of the Keta NMTC is in its devastating state under the auspices of Mad. Aheto Rejoice
Mad Aheto Rejoice who is known to be a sympathizer of the National Democratic Party and  the principal of the college is doing everything within her  powers to discredit the efforts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in its quest of promoting nursing and midwifery education.
We concern NPP activists in the Keta municipality and beyond cannot afford to see this noble institution in our municipal deteriorate by the efforts of Mad. Aheto Rejoice who on records cheaply sold her credibility to  the opposition NDC.
Just three days of resumption of the college for this semester, Mad. Aheto Rejoice took a solitary decision to sack all students to go home and make full payment of school fees before coming back to school.
This action by the Principal has put the students in their most confused state compelling them to make derogatory comments about the NPP and its administration of the nursing and midwifery colleges.
We want to reiterate that, on this uncalled for- conduct by the principal to tarnish the image of the party and make it unpopular in the municipality will not hold.

We hereby call on the pro- NDC principal of the college to as the matter of exigency reconsider her thoughts or be ready to face the consequences.

We want to reiterate that, mad. Aheto Rejoice is identified as an anti- NPP and a tool  employed by the opposition to tarnish the image of the elephant.
We  unequivocally state that, we are giving a 48hours of ultimatum to the principal to reverse her decision else we force her out of jurisdiction.

Let Kwasi Appiah know his fate – JE Sarpong Kwesi Appiah, Ghana coach Veteran Ghana coach, J.E Sarpong has criticized the Sports Ministry and the Normalisation Committee for their handling of Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah’s contract saga. The former Hearts and Kotoko coach said it was important for the Sports Ministry and the Normalisation Committee to take a definite decision on Kwesi Appiah. With just two months left for the team to embark on another World Cup qualification assignment coach Sarpong asserts it will be important for issues to be resolved before the team takes on Comoros on November 13. “I’m not happy with the current situation. It affects our ranking because we are not playing any football. When somebody has done something and you call him, tell him that you want to keep or sack him. He has submitted his report and they haven’t called for a meeting to discuss anything so he is also in a limbo”. “He is human and can’t start going to the training field when he d...
